Fergus McFadden is set to commit his long term future to Leinster.
The winger’s contract with the IRFU expires at the end of the season.
But reports in this morning’s papers say he will sign a new two-year deal in the coming weeks.
And he has admitted he would like to stay at the club- “I love Leinster, yeah. It’s a great club, so of course I would”.
“There’s always curiosity about going abroad, going to a different set-up, but it’s very hard to leave this set-up at the moment with the facilities we have; essentially a new flock coming through after Leo and Brian retired.”
Meanwhile, Cian Healy looks set to return from injury earlier than expected.
The prop has been out of action since last September with a hamstring tear.
But he could recover in time to be fit for Leinster’s Champions Cup ties against Castres and Wasps later this month.
