It was an incredible night of Champions League quarter-final action although the drama in Paris was mainly down to defensive blunders.

Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's 14th minute penalty was saved by Joe Hart at the Parc de Princes before Kevin de Bruyne fired Manchester City in front thanks in part to some disjointed defending.

Ibrahimovic hit the equaliser after a terrible kickout blunder between Joe Hart and Fernando with keeper Hart passing to his midfielder under pressure before he coughed up possession to the Swede to score.

Another Hart mistake after 59 minutes allowed Adrien Rabiot to score a simple tap-in when the England international parried a Cavani corner right into Rabiot's path.

Then a cock-up by Serge Aurier who failed to clear a 72nd minute City cross before Fernandinho's shot deflected off Thiago Silva and into the net.

Real Madrid were beaten 2-0 away to Wolfsburg who claimed the win thanks to a Ricardo Rodriguez penalty and one from Maxi Arnold.
