Ian Madigan's playing days at Leinster Rugby are drawing to a close as the international outhalf gears up for his summer move to Bordeaux-Bègles in the Top 14 in France.

Madigan has rarely been given the chance to play in the number 10 shirt he covets so much, either with Leinster or on the international stage with Ireland.

While the financial benefits of the move are not to be sniffed at, the Dubliner's driving ambition to become a world class 10 would appear to be the primary reason he has opted to leave the province he supported as a boy.

Madigan spoke to 98FM Sport's Stephen Doyle about the move and firstly about his relationship with Ireland and Leinster outhalf rival Johnny SextonOn May 28th Donnybrook Stadium will host the inaugural Dublin 7s Festival.

12 elite international rugby teams will entertain up to 5,000 spectators with a competitive exhibition of 7s rugby where sublime individual skills combine with teamwork for spectacular results.

Some of the biggest names in world rugby will descend on the capital including professional teams from England, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Japan, Germany and France.

Tickets start at €15 for general admission with VIP and corporate hospitality packages also available from www.dublin7sfestival.ie
