Leinster flanker Jordi Murphy believes he can regain a place in the Irish squad, if he can give consistent performances for his province.
The 25-year-old was dropped from the Six Nation’s panel, niggling injuries were a factor in the loss of his place in the side. Form and fitness stopped Joe Schmidt from including him.
Murphy is aware that he will have to take his chances when they come as fellow club mates have done in previous months:
The blues will look to bounce back from a 30-6 loss to provincial rivals Ulster last month, when the two sides meet in the semi finals of the Pro 12 this Friday night.
He claims there was a lot of soul searching in the team following the poor performance in Belfast:
Looking ahead to the future, Murphy is confident Leinster can still challenge the top teams for silverware in the coming years.
Wasps have recently acquired the services of Australian international inside centre Kurtley Beale for a reported €750,000.
Despite a lack of spending from his own club, Jordi Murphy feels talent coming from the junior ranks of the club will be more than capable of bringing success to the province.
