The Republic of Ireland lead Oman by a goal to nil at half time in this friendly at the Aviva Stadium.
Ireland took the lead in the 14th minute as Kevin Doyle scored his 14th international goal with a near post header from a pinpoint Robbie Brady cross.
The Boys in Green were causing Oman all sorts of problems from flag kicks and from yet another whipped in Brady corner Alex Pearce saw a far post header cleared from off the Oman line.
Further pressure on the Oman goal nearly yielded another goal but midfielder David Meyler - after neat control and quick feet - deftly chipped towards goal but his effort rebounded from off the crossbar.
