Favourite Sire De Grugy won today's feature race at Cheltenham the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

The Gary Moore trained and Jamie Moore ridden horse had a six lengths victory over Somersby with Module back in third place.

The 2011 Champion Chase winner Sizing Europe finished in fourth.

There were a couple of Irish winners on the day with the Willie Mullins trained and Ruby Walsh ridden Faugheen winning the Neptune Hurdle and the Dermot Weld trained and Robbie McNamara ridden Silver Concorde won the Champion Bumper.

But there was bad news as well with Irish jockey Bryan Cooper breaking his leg in a fall from the Gordon Elliott trained Clarcam in the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle.
