The Dublin footballers made it two wins out of two in this years league campaign after beating Westmeath in Mullingar by 14 points to 1-7. 

In tough conditions, the Dubs held a narrow 6 points to 3 points lead at the break, with Ciaran Kilkenny converting two frees. 

But soon after the break, a Dessie Dolan goal brought the sides level. But Dublin then hit seven points in the final 15 minutes to claim the win.

Paul Hudson was a live wire after being sprung from the bench by Jim Gavin, scoring four points with three from play.

The Dublin Gaffer will however, wonder how his side failed to hit the back of the net. Darren Quinn in the Westmeath managing to pull off a string of top saves. 

But the Boys in Blue will be delighted to hold onto their 100% record and collect a win in what was a very tricky fixture.
