The Dublin footballers bounced back from last weeks defeat with a fine win over Leinster rivals Kildare.

The boys in blue held just a four point lead at the break, but pulled away in the second half winning by 1-22 to 1-12.

Paddy Andrews got the Dubs goal after 20 minutes to give Dublin a seven point lead. Jim Gavin's men seemed to be cruising at that stage, but the Lillywhites fought back well, and bagged their own goal just before the break.

But man of the mach, Kevin McManamon took the game by the scruff of the neck and hit some great scores to give the Dubs some breathing room.

The only concern for Gavin will be the injury picked up by Ciaran Kilkenny. He went off with a knee injury and will go for a scan tomorrow to find out the extent of the injury.

Up next for the Dubs is a trip to Derry next Sunday.
