Paul Ryan has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling with Dublin after 11 seasons at senior level.

The 32-year-old was part of Dublin's Leinster Championship winning team in 2013.

Ryan scored 2-7 that day against Galway as the Dubs claimed a first Leinster title since 1961.

The Ballyboden St. Enda's forward was a key member of Anthony Daly's team, which came so close to reaching the All Ireland final that season before they lost out to Cork in the semi-finals.

Ryan also started in the 2011 National League final win over Kilkenny when the Boys in Blue ended a 72-year wait for a league title.

Ryan opted out of the Dublin panel ahead of the 2017 season but returned under new manager Pat Gilroy in 2018.
