Dublin senior hurling manager Pat Gilroy has made one enforced change to his team for their trip to Wexford this weekend.

Ballyboden St Enda's dual man Conal Keaney was injured in the opening Leinster Championship round robin defeat to Kilkenny last weekend, landing awkwardly on his shoulder in a tussle with an opposition player in the second half.

Keaney is replaced at centre forward by Setanta club man Fiontán McGibb.

It is believed that Dublin's regular free taker David Treacy has recovered from a hamstring injury to take his place among the subs, although Dublin have not revealed their bench for the game.

The Cuala forward hasn't togged out for the Boys in Blue this year due to the injury and also, his involvement with the All-Ireland final winners.

Dublin have the upper hand over the Yellowbellies having won four and drawn one in the last five Championship meetings between the sides, although the current Wexford side under Davy Fitzgerald represent a really tough challenge for Gilroy's evolving side.

That said, they will be buoyed by their performance at Parnell Park last week, having been written off by most in the build up, Dublin led the Cats by five points with five minutes of normal time remaining.

However, with Keaney's departure and fellow forward Liam Rushe looking slightly hampered in the closing stages, the Dubs were having trouble making the ball stick up top and Brian Cody's men outscored the hosts 1-5 to 0-1 in the closing stages.
