Kane Douglas is leaving Leinster to return home to his native Australia.
The 26-year-old has struggled to settle in Dublin and never produced the form that earned him the move to Leinster.
He was a key member of the New South Wales Waratahs team that won the 2014 Super Rugby title but he never matched those performance in the blue of Leinster.
Douglas made a total of 20 appearances for the province last season (14 Guinness PRO12, 6 European Rugby Champions Cup) before missing the tail-end of the season with a back injury.
He's been released from his contract 2 years early. His departure will come as little surprise; earlier this month he expressed a desire to leave the province.
"There are a few things going on at home that I need to be there for," the 14-test second-rower said in a statement.
"I didn't think it would be this tough to be away from it all and I hope I can get back home real soon.
"It's been a good time but also tough here and I have spoken to the club about what's going on with my family and I have made it pretty clear that I want to get it sorted."
