Martin O'Neill's odds on for the Ireland job once again. Several bookmakers suspended betting last night on the former Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland boss succeeding Giovanni Trapattoni. The FAI confirmed the Boys in Green will face Latvia in a friendly at the Aviva on the 15th of November leading to specualation the association will have a new manager in place before that match. The selection team of Ray Houghton and Ruud Dokter are set to report back to the FAI on Monday. But Ipswich say there's still been no approach for Mick McCarthy. The former Ireland manager has been quizzed about the job over the last couple of weeks and he can expect more of the same tonight when Ipswich host Barnsley in the Championship.
