The figures come from a poll in The Business Post.
More than a third of young women say they've been sexually harassed in public in the past year.
A new Red C poll shows almost 4 in 10 women aged from 18 to 34 have experienced this on the streets.
Their accounts include incidents like whistling, sexually explicit comments, stalking, groping and assault.
The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says society needs to stamp this out.

They say acts of sexual harassment in public is forcing young women to police their movements.
Noeline Blackwell, Chief Executive of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, says "there has to be a change in behaviour."
She has called on men who think it is 'funny' or 'acceptable' to carry out the acts to change their ways.
"Women are made to feel humiliated, they are made to feel uncomfortable simply because they are younger women," Blackwell added.
