Salomon Rondon will be linking up with manager Rafa Benitez again at Chinese side Dalian Yifang.

The striker spent last season on-loan from West Brom at Benitez's Newcastle - with both leaving St James' Park this summer.

He netted 11 goals in 33 games for the Magpies last term and follows top-scorer Ayoze Perez in leaving the club.

Albion have now sold Rondon after Dalian met his £16.5-million release clause.

In a short statement, the club has wished "Salomon and his family all the very best in the future".

The Venezuela international scored 28 goals in 120 games for West Brom and says he's now looking forward to a new challenge in China.

"Today is the end of an incredible spell for me in the Premier League. During these past four seasons, I've seen my dreams come true.

"Being Newcastle's No 9 is certainly an honour that'll always stay with me. I also feel very grateful to WBA for the affection from every single Baggie right from day one and for the opportunity the club gave me.

"I'm beginning a challenge that really motivates me and I'm really excited as I become a Dalian Yifang player."

Albion are now expected to sign Kenneth Zohore from Cardiff for £8-million.
