Phase three of the Covid-19 roadmap kicked in this morning, with the likes of cafes, restaurants, pubs serving food, hairdressers and gyms reopening.
It's been 15 weeks since many businesses shut up shop as the lockdown was introduced.
Strict hygiene practices are now in place, along with social distancing.
80 per cent of shops are back in business in Dublin city centre. CEO of business group, Dublin Town, is Richard Guiney;
"A lot of effort has been made to ensure that premises are safe but we've all got responsibilities including ourselves when we're visiting the city to abide by the rules and to obey social distancing and have a safe but good time."
Face coverings
Capacity on public transport has been increased to 50 per cent but passengers will have to wear face coverings, which are now mandatory on-board.

Masks are also recommended in retail outlets, and anywhere it is difficult to maintain social distancing.
Queues formed outside some barber shops in Dublin overnight. Salon Rouge in Inchicore opened at midnight and will be operating for 24 hours today.
Places of worship, hotels, hostels, caravan parks, galleries and museums can all welcome visitors too, as can cinemas, theaters and music venues.
Up to 50 people will be permitted to gather indoors and up to 200 outdoors while all restrictions for travelling within Ireland have been lifted.
Creches and preschools are also back operating from this morning.
July 9th will be the next milestone in the roadmap with the government preparing to publish the "green" list of countries we will be allowed to visit.
