Barcelona legend Xavi has praised his former teammate Neymar ahead of the Brazilian's possible return to the Camp Nou this summer calling him both 'hard-working' and 'humble'.
Neymar has been agitating for a move away from PSG this summer, skipping the start of their pre-season, while Barcelona's vice-president Jordi Cardoner has confirmed that Barcelona are aware of the forward's desire to leave the French capital.
Barça reportedly made an offer last week of €100-million and two players to PSG last week for the 27-year-old and the saga looks set to drag on for the rest of the summer.
It's been suggested that Neymar has lost his drive and that he could be a negative influence in the Barcelona dressing room but Xavi feels that wouldn't be the case.
"In terms of football, he’s the business – stunning. I was his teammate and aside from that, I think he’s a great guy," former Barca captain Xavi told AS.
"He's a hard worker, who had a positive influence inside the dressing room, for his humility, dedication, and sacrifice. But at the end of the day, it will be Barça who decide - those in charge at the club. It depends on who you listen to.
"I’m on the outside but I always want the best for Barça and if somebody tells me that Neymar can go back and triumph at Barça, I’d be delighted but we just don’t know. It depends on the club and the decisions they make”.
