The National Youth Council of Ireland says the latest drop in those signing onto the live register doesn't reflect the reality for young people.
Over 3,500 people came off the Live register in January - It means the unemployment rate now stands at 10 and a half percent.
But the National Youth Council of Ireland has expressed disappointment at an increase in the number of under-25's on the live register
The Council says the government needs to focus on youth unemployment rate which stands at nearly 22 per cent.
