Gardai at Dun Laoghaire are continuing to question a woman in her 40s about the death of a toddler in Ballybrack.
The two-year-old's body was found inside an apartment at RidgeHall yesterday afternoon.
Its believed Hassan Khan had been stabbed.
A post mortem is expected to be carried out on his remains today.
The little boy had been the subject of a nationwide Garda safety alert in August, which was called off after less than an hour when Hassan was found with his father.
