A 13 year old boy, who got into difficulty while swimming in Blanchardstown yesterday evening has died in hospital this morning.
The teenger was swimming with two girls at a lake near the Waterville Hall residential complex at around a quarter past six when all three got into difficulty.
They were rushed to Temple Street Children's Hospital where the boy spent the night in the Intensive Care Unit.
He lost his fight for life this morning. The two girls are said to be in a stable condition.
