Work will being next month on an interpretative centre at the GPO.
Contracts for this building project were signed last week and it's expected to cost nearly 8 million Euro.
When completed, the interpretive centre will cover 1600 square meters and is expected to attract 300 thousand visitors a year.
It will be located in the basement level courtyard which has been out of bounds to the public since the GPO was rebuilt after the 1916 rising.
The main construction piece will be a new podium which will form a large gallery area, theres also be a sculptured garden.
The works are due to be completed by October of next year.
