Woman Warns Of Attempted Attack in Shankill

Gardai are investigating an alleged assault in Shankill last night.

A woman has outlined the details of the attack on Facebook which has been shared almost four thousands times.

The young woman at the centre of this alleged assault says she was walking home at around 7 last night and was near the Shankill Dart Station when she noticed a man lingering on the path.

She claims he followed her into her estate and drag her into some trees and tried to attack her. She managed to escape and make her way safely home.

She has described the man as being in his 40s around 5 10 with a Dublin accent, blue eyes and dark- greyish hair. She posted the details online just a few hours ago and it has been shared almost 4 thousand times.

Gardai have confirmed they are investigating an alleged assault in Shankill last night and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
