A woman has died after being hit by a train at Raheny DART Station.
She was waiting on the northbound platform when she tripped and fell onto the track just before two this afternoon.
A statement from Irish Rail says the driver put on the emergency brake but couldn't stop the train before it hit the woman.
She was rushed to Beaumont Hospital but died from her injuries.
Train services were suspended for a time but have since resumed.
