Gardai investigating the murder of a man in the north inner city have renewed their appeal for witnesses.

33-year-old Kieran Farrelly was shot just before midnight on Bank Holiday Sunday.

It happened at the Killarney Court flats complex which is just off Buckingham Street near Portland Row and the Five Lamps in the north inner city.

He died after being blasted in the face and upper body with a shotgun.

A man and two women were arrested in connection with the investigation but all three have since been released without charge.

Gardai are now eager to speak to anyone who was in the area between 11.15 and midnight to come forward.

They're particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen a group of people or heard a disturbance in the area between those times.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Mountjoy Garda Station or the Garda Confidential Line.
