Ten million journeys have been taken on the Dublin Bikes.
The scheme has grown in popularity since it was launched in 2009 with nearly a million trips taken so far this year.
Dublin City Council Chief Executive Owen Keegan said “passing 10 million journeys in little over five years is an amazing achievement and shows what an excellent decision it was to provide the service originally and to then expand it.
Mairead Roche took the 10 millionth journey and received flowers and a cycling holiday to France as a prize.
