People are being asked to stay away from St James's Hospital in Dublin this weekend following a flu outbreak.
In the interest of patient safety, management are asking that friends and family defer all non-essential visits, while no children will be allowed in.
The Emergency Department at the hospital will remain open throughout the weekend, but anyone suffering flu-like symptoms is asked to visit their GP.
