Disruption to Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann services will take place on the Friday before the May Bank Holiday weekend.
The National Bus and Rail Union's to hold a national day of action including work stoppages, on May 1st.
It's in protest at Government plans to privatise 10% of the country's bus routes.
The action includes a two hour protest march to the dail betwen 11am and 1pm with similar demonstrations in cities across the country.
NBRU members recently voted in favour of industrial after 7 months of talks failed to reach any agreement.
Meanwhile SIPTU members at Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann are meeting this afternoon to discuss a possible strike.
Ninety percent of its members also recently voted in favour of industrial action over the plans.
