Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a vicious assault on a man in his 20s in the west of the city.
It happened at half eleven last night on Willow Wood Walk in Hartstown, when he was set upon by three masked men carrying metal pipes.
His attackers fled the scene on foot and anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Blanchardstown.
Elsewhere Gardai are investigating a stabbing at Parnell Square last night.
A 20 year old man was rushed to the Mater Hospital after being set upon at around a quarter past ten.
It's understood his injuries are not life threatening.
