Police in Canada say that two of their officers are among four people shot dead in the east of the country.
The incident happened shortly before 9am in the Brookside Drive area of the city of Fredericton, the capital of the province of New Brunswick.
The area was placed on lockdown while the shooter was still active.
One suspect has now been taken into custody, and is being treated for serious injuries following the shooting.
Of the four people killed in this morning's shootings on Brookside Drive, two were Fredericton Police officers. No names are being released at this time. Please appreciate this is a difficult time for their families and our colleagues. We will provide more info when we can.

One local told CBC News: "I just woke up and I heard gunshots.
"I looked outside my window, and there was basically three dead people lying there."
