Two men have been arrested after a taxi was hijacked in the city centre this morning.
This carjacking happened shortly after 2:30am when two men aged 21 and 20 took a taxi from O'Connell Street to Ballymun.
Just before the taxi got to Ballymun, the rear seat passenger threatened the driver with a knife and ordered him out of the car.
A small amount of cash was also stolen.
The taxi driver who was uninjured, called Gardaí and the car was found on the old airport road.
Two men were arrested nearby and are being detained at Mountjoy garda station.
