This year’s ceremony celebrated both fresh stars and established icons, delivering a spectacular mix of emotion, diversity, and star power.
Take a bow, Cynthia! Erivo not only hosted the evening, she opened it with a heartfelt musical number, “Sometimes All You Need Is a Song”. She infused the performance with genuine warmth, even joking with first‑time nominees such as Sadie Sink and Louis McCartney.

Purpose picked up Best Play, while Yellow Face’s Francis Jue took Best Featured Actor and used his speech to uplift those feeling marginalised.
The ceremony wrapped up with a heartfelt reunion of the original Hamilton cast to mark the musical’s 10th anniversary—a perfect finale to a night celebrating the best of Broadway.
