Post mortem exams are taking place this afternoon on the bodies of the three men who died in a crash on the N7 last night at Rathcoole.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to the incident involving a dark blue BMW 3 series and a truck, at around 11.40pm.
The car, travelling on the wrong side of the road, collided with the truck, killing all three occupants of the car.
The driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, was taken to Tallaght University Hospital to be treated for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Gardai say they have not yet confirmed the identities of the victims.
GSOC is investigating the circumstances of the incident, as the BMW had interacted with gardai earlier in the evening.
