The Man Who Created Postman Pat And Rosie And Jim Has Died

The creator of Postman Pat has died aged 85.

John Cunliffe was also the brains behind Rosie And Jim, and wrote more than 190 books for young children.

An obituary in his local paper said the author "left his Ilkley home in a deluge of rain on the 20th of September never to return".
