The Bram Stoker Festival is back again this year with stars like Amy Huberman getting their fangs stuck in.

Dublin is embracing its dark side this October bank holiday weekend in celebration of the Dublin born Dracula writer.

Events are taking place across the city with some Dublin landmarks lighting up in blood red.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

Friday 23rd, 6pm: Maser returns to the cityscape of Dublin to create an interactive installation in Smithfield, which is inspired both by Stoker's life and the themes of his most famous work. It will open this evening at 6pm.

Saturday 24th, 8pm: Soundings, Bram Stoker Edition, a night of stories and song to inspire, entertain and alarm, presented by Dylan Haskins and Lisa Hannigan in St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Sunday, 25th,12 noon-5pm: Stokerland Located in the Dead Centre of Dublin, Wolfe Tone Park, Stokerland is a pop-up gothic theme park featuring the macabre talents of world- class street performers The Mighty Gareth and Able Mabel.

Sunday, 25th 8pm-3am: New Blood, a huge Bank Holiday Sunday party features a deadly line up of live and electronic bands and DJs in Project Arts Centre. It's dress-up - get your fangs on and hair back-combed and go wild with style!

Monday, 26th, 5:30pm: Macnas close the festival at twilight on Monday 26th October, in what is set to be another breath-taking, citywide procession from the Galway based spectacle and street performance company.

People are being invited to follow the fun with the hashtag #BiteMeDublin.
