It has been confirmed that the abortion referendum will be held on May 25th.
The abortion referendum bill passed in the Seanad earlier, meaning a vote on if to repeal the 8th amendment can now take place.
Senators voted 40-10 in favour of allowing a referendum.
Both sides have called for a fair and reasoned debate over the coming weeks.
Yesterday the cabinet agreed the draft laws they'd try to bring in if the 8th amendment is repealed.
Eligible voters who are not on the register and wish to vote at the referendum should complete a supplement application form, which is available here.
Completed forms must be received by the registration authority by Tuesday 8 May, 2018.
