Emergency accommodation for the survivors of the Carrickmines fire has been blocked by local residents.
Members of the South Dublin community have used cars and heavy machinery to cut off access to a site at Glenamuck Cottages close to the site of Saturday's fatal fire.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council says it gave permission for a family of 15 to move onto a temporary halting site on Council-owned lands at the end of Rockville Drive, off Glenamuck Road, on Thursday.
A separate site at a different location has also been identified to house families on a permanent basis.
However settled residents have objected to the temporary move.
Five adults and five children lost their lives in the weekend blaze which destroyed an entire halting site.
