Storm Gertrude hammered Dublin this morning.
Dublin may have escaped the worst of the previous storms this winter, but not this time.
Met Éireann issued an orange weather warning this morning, as Storm Gertrude reached gusts of 130 kilometers per hour in parts of the country.
Hundreds of homes around the city were without power, but across the country up to 10,000 customers are still getting reconnected after being left in darkness.
A yellow weather alert has now been put in place by Met Éireann until 12pm.
