The state spends 15 million euro a month on rent supplement in Dublin.
According to the Irish Times, almost 1 million is being spent in Blanchardstown alone.
The north west of the city has the highest number of households relying on the payment, with an average of 522 euro being supplemented.
The Foxrock-Beechpark area has the lowest number, with two households getting around 55 euro a month.
