Survivors are calling for the uncertainty over the venue for the Stardust fire inquest to be ended before Christmas.

48 people died in the Dublin nightclub in 1981. A pre-hearing inquest takes place this afternoon.

It will be held in the RDS but the lease for the venue ends in February.

Survivor Antoinette Keegan, who lost two sisters in the blaze, is concerned there won't be a replacement for when the full inquest takes place;

"Before Christmas comes we want to know where we're going next year. This is the biggest inquest in the history of the state and we're getting treated in the most inhumane way by the goverment."
