Gardaí are investigating after a number of youths went on a crime spree in West Dublin last night.
Between 9.30 and 10pm last night, there were two attempts to hi-jack cars, a mugging and an assault in the Castle Riada Drive area of Lucan.
Four people, one woman and three men required hospital treatment as a result, however none of their injuries were life threatening.
Gardaí, responding to calls from the public, searched the area and two young men were arrested on Castle Road in Lucan.
A Garda recieved a head injury during the course of the arrest and required hospital treatment. He has since been released from hospital.
The two teenagers are detained at Lucan Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in this area between 9.30pm – 10.20pm last night to contact them at Lucan Garda station
