A man’s appeared in court charged with the murder of his mother in Dun laoghaire on Tuesday evening.
30 year old Fionn Braidwood was accused of killing Jane Braidwood at Clarinda Park East on Tuesday evening.
He replied "no" when charged at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station at 6 o’clock yesterday evening.
He was remanded in custody to Cloverhill District Court next Thursday where a bail application will be made.
His solicitor, Ronnie Lynam, asked that a psychiatric assessment be carried out on his fitness to stand trial and on general medication grounds.
