A nationwide snow and ice warning has been issued from Met Eireann. The yellow alert is in place until midday tomorrow.

People are being advised to take care while driving in icy conditions and to watch out for debris on the roads after high winds last night.

Today will be cold and blustery with wintry showers. Ulster and Connacht will get the worst of the snow showers.

In Dublin today, it'll be cold, breezy and mainly dry, with some wintry showers of rain and sleet and highs of 4 or 5 degrees.

There could be some wintry showers tonight with snow flurries on higher ground. Frost and icy patches will develop with lows of -1 to 2 degrees.

Tomorrow will be cold with sunny spells and showers of rain and sleet. Highest temperatures of 4 or 5 degrees.
