A six year old boy is in a serious condition after being hit by a van in Shankill yesterday evening.
At around quarter to five yesterday evening, a white van struck a six year old boy.
The van was travelling in the direction of Shankill village on the Shanganagh Road.
The boy was taken to Temple Street Children's Hospital and is in a serious condition.
It was previously reported the child was 8 but Gardaí confirmed this morning that he is 6 years old.
The driver of the van was interviewed and the road of was closed for a time.
Gardaí is asking anyone who was in the area and has information about the collision to contact them at Shankill Garda Station.
