Sinn Féin Pledge To Tackle Housing Crisis

Sinn Féin's set to unveil its plans for solving the country's housing crisis this morning.

The party says it would use money - which has been given back to - high earners - in Budget 2016 to create more social housing throughout Ireland.

The plan also includes proposals to encourage developers to construct homes on privately held land banks and new ways of providing emergency accommodation for the homeless.

Deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald says the plan is extensive:
