A number of shots have been fired at Gardai during an ongoing stand-off in the Kiltipper area of Tallaght.
It's understood a man armed with a firearm has barricaded himself into a house in the Deerpark housing estate.
The incident began in the early of this morning.
Gardai have confirmed they're dealing with an incident, but say they're not commenting any further at this point.
