Gardai are at the scene of a shooting in Finglas which happened this afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired on Tolka Valley Road in Dublin 11 shortly before 3 o'clock.
Gardai say nobody has been injured.
The scene is preserved for forensic examination and the investigation is continuing.
A garda spokesperson says: "Shortly before 3pm Gardaí responded to reports of shots fired on Tolka Valley Road, Dublin 11. A number of Garda units are currently at the scene which is preserved for forensic examination.
"There are no reports of any injures at this time. No further information is available. Enquires are ongoing."
