Gardai are investigating an incident in which a severed horse head was thrown through the window of a house in west Dublin.
The attack took place in the Parlickstown area of Mulhuddard last Monday.
The police are exploring the possibility that it was a warning to a criminal's ex-girlfriend and her new partner.
