A serial rapist has been jailed for a further 5 years after he confessed in prison to two unsolved crimes.
Salman Dar from Lahore in Pakistan was described in court as 'every woman's nightmare'.
He was jailed for 15 years back in 2004 for raping 3 women in Dublin.
The computer science graduate who'd arrived in Ireland just months earlier ambushed women on the streets at night.
He told gardai “I had no plan. If opportunity presents, I'll attack”.
In late 2012 after 4 years of treatment at Arbour Hill prison he confessed to two more attacks, an attempted rape in Ranelagh and a sexual assault near the South Circular Road, both in 2004.
Mr Justice Paul Carney noted that these unsolved cases would probably not have resurfaced without Dar's admissions.
He's imposed a 7 year sentence with the final 2 suspended.
