New searches have been carried out for a couple who are missing feared murdered.
Gardai have been searching an area along the Dublin/Meath border this week for Willie Maughan and Anna Varslavane who disappeared in April.
It is feared that a Dublin criminal gang murdered the 38 year old man and his Latvian girlfriend and dumped their bodies at a rural location.
Willies family previously said they believe he had information about a serious crime which led to their disappearance.
The couple had been living in Gormanstown but were due to retun to his family home in Tallaght on the day they disappeared.
According to the Herald the latest dig is focused on an area alongside the M1 motorway near the Devlin river.
More searches are expected in the area today as part of the operation.
