The Transport Minister says a “zero tolerance” attitude will be taken to anything that affects the penalty points system.
It’s after a leaked report showed that six Gardai were still wiping points despite changes being brought in last year.
Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald says a new Garda report, which goes into details about more point cancellations by officers – will be made public.
Paschal Donohoe says he received the report today and that it will be discussed in full at cabinet next week.
