SIPTU's calling on members of the public to come out in force for a rally in support of Clerys workers this afternoon.

The union will meet with the department store's liquidators this morning ahead of the demonstration on O'Connell street at noon.

Workers say they've yet to be informed of their redundancy terms.

SIPTU Organiser Robert Purfield says they need to know where they stand..

Meanwhile the Taoiseach says the treatment of workers at Clerys was 'very insensitive'.

Employment Minister Ged Nash is expected to meet representatives of KPMG at Government Buildings this morning to discuss the situation.

One hundred and thirty staff laid-off and over 300 concession workers facing uncertain futures.

Enda Kenny has welcomed the liquidators' willingness to discuss the issues but says the workers have been treated poorly.

It comes as the companies which operated concessions at Clerys say they're owed between 2 and 3 million euro and have valuable stock inside the premises.
